With a focus on the engineering and technical aspects of cybersecurity, Auburn University’s Cybersecurity Engineering program trains graduates to become experts in analyzing, developing, investigating, and protecting the cyber ecosystem of organizations. The Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency classify Auburn as one of only 16 universities in the U.S. with the following distinctions:
- Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education
- Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Research
- Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations
